What Electric Actually Saves You in 2026
ULEZ: Still Fully Exempt
Every electric chauffeur car remains completely exempt from the Ultra Low Emission Zone, which covers all of Greater London out to the M25, 24 hours a day. That is a genuine saving of £12.50 a day compared with a non-compliant petrol or diesel car.
Congestion Charge: Discounted, Not Free
The full exemption ended on Christmas Day 2025. Since January 2026, electric vehicles receive a 25 per cent discount on the Congestion Charge, paying around £13.50 against the standard £18 rather than nothing at all.
